How to Clean Kitchen Floors

Clean Kitchen Floors Naturally

It’s easy to clean your floors safely and naturally. Use 1 part vinegar to 1 part warm water on wood, tile, or linoleum. Mop the floor in a up-and-down or side-to-side motion until clean. Dry with a towel or let air dry.

All-Purpose Spray

Save some money and make your own all-purpose spray cleaner. In a spray bottle add two cups of water, five drops of the essential oil of your choice, and one cup of white vinegar. Use your new cleaner on your floor  and store it with your other cleaning supplies when not in use.

Polish Naturally

Make your own floor polish with one gallon of hot water, 1/2 cup of lemon juice, and 3/4 cup of olive oil. Add these ingredients to a spray bottle and spray it on your clean floors. Hand wash with a clean cloth or use a cloth mop to clean the floors. This will naturally polish your floors and leave them with a spectacular shine.

Prevent Scratches

Nobody likes scratched-up floors, so never use scouring pads or steel wool on your floors. These will scratch the your floor surface. Instead use a sponge, rag, or clean cloth to wipe down your clean floors.

Keeping up on your kitchen floors just got easier. Using just a few ingredients you probably already have, you can keep your kitchen floors completely clean, do so naturally, and save yourself from having to buy any expensive cleaners.
