March 8th is International Women’s Day this year. The official International Women’s Day website has declared Inspiring Change to be the International Women’s Day theme for 2014, a call for “challenging the status quo” and encouraging positive change. This tradition of upstanding, ethical discussion began in the early 1900s, but it has also gathered a more personal following: Every year on International Women’s Day, family, friends, boyfriends, partners, and husbands show their appreciation by spoiling the women in their life, especially their significant others.
Challenge the status quo of your loved one’s daily schedule by treating her like a queen this International Women’s Day. We’ve put together a list of treats that are sure to please:
1. Breakfast in Bed
There’s nothing quite as nice as waking up to the delicious aroma of a homemade breakfast prepared by your sweetheart. Whether her favorite is a hearty bacon and eggs, a light salad or freshly brewed coffee with sweet pastries, she’ll love it.
