Maids by Trade Featured on KGW News (NBC)

Maids by Trade is a local celebrity!  We’ve made multiple appearances on both local and national television. We gained notoriety in the community when we were featured on ABC’s Celebrity Wife Swap and then we showed our smarts on KGW’s News Channel 8 when we gave advice on how to stay clean and healthy during the flu season. Maids by Trade has also been seen on Portland’s very own KPTV FOX 12. We were featured participants in the channel’s telethon to raise money for the Children’s Cancer Association (CCA).

In addition to presenting a large donation to the CCA, Maids by Trade sponsored the Cowbell Ring. This consisted of ringing the cowbell every time a caller donated $1000 dollars or more, followed by a 5 second promo displaying Maids by Trade’s branded cowbells. We were happy to help make the telethon the huge success it was—nearly one million dollars raised over the course of two days. The CCA is a deserving charity, not only because of its mission, but its accountability and transparency. Our money went directly to funding programs that enhance the lives of children battling cancer.

As you can see in the video, we love the limelight and really enjoyed our time on the Good Day Oregon show on KPTV Fox 12. More importantly though,  we were very happy to be involved in supporting such a worthy cause. Maids by Trade is dedicated to giving back. We believe a company has a responsibility to be a force for good in its community.

We encourage other members of the community to give back, too! Every little action counts and there are lots of resources to help you find an outlet for your giving spirit. Check out Hands On Greater Portland and other great sites to find projects and get started.
